What happens during the transfer?

Once your game is approved by Steamline, the ownership in Steamworks needs to be transferred from your account to ours. This allows us to manage the game on Steam on your behalf while you retain full creative control.

The transfer process:

1. Click here to see the app transfer instructions in Steamworks.
2. Navigate to the Steamworks Transfer tool, select the game, and click "Transfer Selected"
3. For 'Transferee's Email Address' enter info@whippering.com
4. Transfer Reason can be "working with Steamline / Whippering"
5. Effective Date should be same date you initiate transfer. (Though if you're looking for an effective date in the future, select that then please email us at info@whippering.com)
6. Click "Initiate Transfer"
7. We will accept transfer and update you that we did so, and then you will have to re-confirm the transfer
8. Once you re-confirm, Valve reviews and processes the transfer (this is where it takes a few days)
9. Once complete, we'll notify you

Important: During this time, you'll still have access to your game's Steamworks dashboard. And once transferred to our Steamworks account, you will have full and complete rights for your game.

How long does it take?

The entire process typically takes 3-5 business days, primarily because Valve needs to review and approve the transfer.
